What is DiaPee-BioPrint about?
DiaPee-BioPrint aims to integrate PL2 inkjet-printed urine biosensors into the DiaPee home-and-clinic urology diagnostics platform. The goal is to add biochemical context to each voiding event, starting with one priority analyte, and combine it with DiaPee’s existing uroflow, volume and colour–spectral urine data in one structured, clinician-ready digital report.
Today, urinary diagnostics often separate physical measurements, urine-strip testing and clinical interpretation. DiaPee-BioPrint explores a more connected workflow: one measurement event, multiple signals, automatic digital capture and a clearer longitudinal picture for clinicians.
The project links printed biosensor manufacturing, smartphone (NFC) readout and digital urology workflows. If successful, it can create a practical route from pilot-line printed biosensors to scalable home and outpatient monitoring.

“With DiaPee-BioPrint, we want to bring biochemical urine information closer to the real clinical workflow. The vision is simple: combine printed biosensors with DiaPee’s existing home-based urology data, so clinicians can see physical and biochemical signals from the same measurement event in one structured digital report. For us, this is an important step toward smarter, more accessible and more scalable urinary diagnostics.”
Please note that the project is currently in the co-creation phase.
