Open Call

Inviting stakeholders to contribute to this transformative initiative.

The inkjet-bioAM project aims at the incorporation of inkjet printing technology into the value chain for manufacturing of medical and pharmaceutical products by:

Bridging the gap between supply and demand sides for the uptake of inkjet technology in the biomedical sector, through addressing the bottlenecks which are hindering the entry of inkjet technology in the biomedical sector. Which are the lack of biomaterial inkjet inks, the need for a further optimization of the multi-material inkjet printing process, and the need for GMP-compliant inkjet printers.

Demonstrating, scaling up and interregional investments in pilot lines, with the implementation of 3 Pilot Lines based on inkjet printing technology for the manufacturing of medical products and pharmaceuticals.

Participate to get up to 60.000 EUR!

We would like to thank everyone who took part.

Participations Conditions

This OpenCall is devoted to SMEs aiming to test and advance a new idea using the technologies developed within the project in one of the three pilot lines.

The successful proposals will contribute to the value chains of a selected use case in a co-creation process with the project partners involved in the related pilot line. The projects will have a maximum duration of 9 months and will be funded with a maximum amount of 60.000 EURO.

To be eligible, proposals must be submitted in English in all their mandatory parts.

‍Evaluation criteria

The evaluation board will be formed by members of the inkjet-bioAM management board, members of the External Advisory Board and a representative person of the partners where the pilot lines are located. They will consider the following aspects, each one being scored with a maximum value of 3 points:

●        Quality and innovation potential

●        Contribution to the value chain of the inkjet bioAM project

●        Utility of the inkjet bioAM technologies and technical viability

●         Prospective analysis (feasibility and sustainability)

Project proposals submitted by SMEs from less-developed or outermost regions will receive 1 point extra. Eligible regions of the European Union are only:
